Poor posture and repetitive movement using improper body alignments have resulted in back, neck and shoulder pain that has become pandemic in the West. It’s not only affecting adults, but our youth as well. The symptoms are caused by prolonged sitting, usually starring at computer or television screens, and recurring micro-movements operating keywords, remote controls, clicks on the mouse and more. With each passing year, we are only becoming more reliant on technology, so although prevention is key, the solution (at least in part) must also include ways to expel tension and pain once it has become lodged in the body.

I often call the Marriage of Heaven and Earth Qi Gong “healing qi gong” because it’s so effective at healing joint injuries, especially to do with the neck, back, spine, shoulders and arms. Also, as pulsing techniques (i.e open-and-close nei gong) is traditionally taught in Heaven and Earth, this incredibly single-movement health system is quite remarkable at relaxing the nerves and helping students to let go.

The Benefits of Long-term, Tao Arts Exercise Training
As your energy develops through regular and progressively more accurate exercise training, your body becomes stronger, you can concentrate longer, you require less sleep, your libido grows and you can handle stressful situations better. These are among the normal benefits from energetic Tao movement exercises.
However, just like any exercise training programme, many suddenly find themselves hitting a plateau.
